I’d make andnowyoutellme.tumblr.com my primary tumblr, but unfortunately it’s impossible to do that.
Thanks for following, and I hope to see you over there, or possibly on Rayna Chic, the Nashville fashion blog I’m setting up.

It is indeed a sad day for fans of this show, and above all of this wonderful character. All I can say is that I hope I can retract this post. And if I can’t, it’s been a wonderful four-season ride.

Taking a break from the usual fashion post to bring you a quick run-down of the goodies on the season 4 DVD release of Nurse Jackie.
For three seasons, the episode commentaries have always been the number one reason to buy the DVDs. Unlike other shows, where the season 1 release is chock-full of bonus features, but further seasons include a cut scene or two and a shaky set tour video, the people behind Nurse Jackie have consistently provided an entertaining insight into pivotal episodes of the show.
In season four, we’re treated to an episode commentary with Edie Falco, Richie Jackson & Anna Deavere Smith on Kettle-Kettle-Black-Black, and commentaries with Edie Falco, Richie Jackson & Liz Flahive on The Wall and Handle Your Scandal. They’re nowhere near as amusing as the ones of seasons past with Liz Brixius and Linda Wallem where they basically spent 90 minutes talking bollocks, but it’s still lovely that they take the time out to talk about the show for the fans. Alas, no one spilled the beans on whose genius idea it was to have O’Hara basically living in a giant walk-in wardrobe, which was the one thing What Would O’Hara Wear would have loved to know (whoever you are, you are a genius!).
The DVD also includes an interview with Bobby Cannavale, some random talking-heads thing with Arjun Gupta and Stephen Wallem talking about their early theatre work, and the gag reel, which is hilarious as ever.
Bottom line: the bonus features are not quite as wonderful as before, but this release is still worth spending your hard-earned cash on, for the gag reel alone. What? It’s fun seeing people fuck up their lines.
Season 4 of Nurse Jackie is released on DVD and Blu-ray on February 12th in the US, and February 25th in the UK. Bring on season five!

I don’t think Nurse Jackie has ever been more exquisitely filmed than it was this week.
